SATANIST BURNS WITCH HUT, BRINGING VILLAGERS TO JESUS

A small group of very courageous men and women meet in Mpaka (M-PAH-KA) Village under a small grass roof in a village of 5,000 non believers. They began worshipping Jesus in November, 2009 after hearing Paulo, a known Islamic leader, testify of his miracle healing. Jesus completely healed Paulo’s hands which were left useless after a lightening strike nearly killed him 4 years ago. (Standing up for Jesus in an Islamic village can get you killed.)

COURAGE BREEDS COURAGE AS OTHERS STAND UP FOR JESUS!

A woman walked 8 miles from Nsewe B village on March 28th to hear about this powerful Jesus with healing powers. After the service, she told Pastors Pinto and Alberto that she had many witchcraft items and demons living in her hut. She only wants to serve Jesus and asked them to help her burn it all. The pastors jumped on their bikes and went straight to her village to do the burning. Over 300 villagers came to watch as she denounced Satan and burned all her witchcraft items. Afterwards, other villagers showed great courage by coming forward to ask if our LIVING WATERS CHURCH could bring this powerful Jesus to their village. Our pastors told them we would help them set up a church as soon as possible.

The next day, a message was sent that the Christians were being attacked by the Satanists over the building of a church. Pastor Alberto, a real MOSES type peacemaker, went out to “calm the storm”. He returned “smiling from ear to ear” and stated that the Christians WON the debate. Nsewe B’s new converts will begin meeting with our Pastors as soon as possible to discuss building plans! In the mean time, another TREE will do just fine. EASTER SUNDAY, 38 people walked the 8 miles from Nsewe B to Mpaca’s church. 9 souls accepted Jesus that day. Hungry souls are walking miles to meet Jesus, just as they did in Bible times.

O.U. GIVES A HELPING HAND TO TANZANIAN TODDLERS

On April 3, 2010, missionary friends in Tanzania emailed that the government was asking them for help with 35 orphaned children now sleeping on the steps of the immigration building. Since thousands of kids are doing this all over Africa, I wasn’t alarmed until I heard that these orphans are only THREE YEARS OLD!

O.U. is now linking arms with trusted missionaries in Tanzania to set up a home for these defenseless little ones. A rapid search for a suitable house to rent is in progress. Concrete Houses are renting for only $2000/YEAR, so we hope to have these toddlers off the street within a week. In the mean time, we are doing what we can to help them. The Lord showed us last fall that we would begin a work in Tanzania this year, but I didn’t expect it to start before I could even get there! I do plan a trip to this area in 2010, as we have several donors desiring to assist us in helping the those orphans. Tanzania is like Mozambique in many ways. Their orphan problem is massive with 1000’s living on the streets, but that fact is not as publicized as it is in other countries, so few are helping out.

God sends us to the forgotten kids in unknown areas.

WANT TO GET A TODDLER OFF THE STREETS?
We have received funds to rent the house but we are short $150/ child in order to get them set up with food, blankets, beds, plates, etc. $150 X 35 or $5,250 is still needed to open the orphan house in Tanzania. Subscribe to my Bush Bunny Blog on our website for further updates as they happen.

CORN AND BEAN SHORTAGES REPORTED IN BALAMA AND MELUCO AREAS

Due to inadequate rain fall, our Meluco orphanage manager reports that large fields of corn were severely damaged in January. A small harvest is expected. That means we will have to buy extra corn and beans in Balama and haul it the 6 hours to Meluco’s orphans.

In Balama, low rainfall has greatly decreased the corn and bean harvest in many villages. Our project manager, Capena, is now visiting the remote village co-ops that have so faithfully helped us fill our barns in the last 5 years. 350 TONS of corn and beans are needed to feed our 1,200+ orphans. Low yields, and stiff competition from export buyers, means we will have an extra busy June this year with higher prices than normal. YOUR PRAYERS are needed for our JOSEPH PROGRAM.

FILL our barns oh Lord!

WATER WELL DRILLING GOING FORTH IN 2010

Clark and Barb Stidham of Colorado Springs will be hopping a plane for Moz. on May 27th. Clark, a retired firefighter and paramedic, made a trip to Kenya a few years ago. Seeing the need for clean drinking water, Clark told the Lord that his desire was to return to Africa and drill water wells. When Clark saw our 2009 update on our water well project, he knew the Lord was opening a door for his heart’s desire. Now a trained driller after attending the Living Waters Int. drilling school near Houston, TX, Clark and Barbara, a retired secretary, plan to use their skills to help us from June to Aug.

Louis Gervais, 18, of San Marcos, TX is also giving his summer to help us. An active athlete and a young man with many skills, Louis will be an awesome addition to our youth program.

BUSH BUNNY FLYING TO AFRICA, APRIL 13TH

The 2010 speaking tour proves that we serve THE GOD OF THE UNEXPECTED. It brought tears to my eyes to see people all over the USA giving as they could in a weak economy. Thank you to all who made this tour possible by hosting me in your home, and providing transport. My heartfelt THANKS and HUGS go out to all of you, as your love gifts have made it possible for us to rescue orphans in 2 nations.

The numbers of kids needing help are overwhelming, but with each step of faith, GOD shows us that HE will make a way! TOGETHER we are making a difference, one child at a time.

Note: that I am dropping bushmail and only using the e-mail address below.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MY FRIENDS!
