AMAZING STORIES OF GOD'S PROVISION
FOR OUR KIDS
Below are 2 testimonies from faithful supporters whom God used to rescue 4 new orphans.
Just a day or two before your request for extra funds came (money for food to help rescue the remaining 950 orphans) we had sent the contents of our cookie can - a grand total of $109 extra. Then my husband found a torn $20 bill in the ditch at work - he was acting as grounds keeper and found just half of the bill. I called the bank and they said they had to have the serial numbers from each side of the bill. He said to just toss it. I got this funny feeling to hang onto it, after all, it's very small and if the other half shows up...(!)
A few days later he called home to say he found the other half (acting as grounds keeper again). He brought it home, the serial numbers matched. We took it to the bank on Friday and sent you a check for the extra $20 on Saturday.
From Jeremy, a college student who gave up his Christmas holiday in 2006 to work with our orphans in Mozambique:
I just wanted to inform you & Eric about a fundraiser that several children I work with decided to organize and put on for the community of Sioux Falls. After watching the video Eric made for us, the children (ages
K-5 grade) desperately wanted to make a difference. I told them about how $120 can rescue a child and give them hope for a new life. So we planned a Bake Sale for the community and the Elementary School that all the kids attend, hoping to raise enough money to support 1 child. Thanks to help from all the parents making the goodies, we raised $361. Praise the Lord!! I was so amazed at how the Lord took something as little as a Video of a an African Church service and ignited a desire in these kids' heart to meet the need in Africa.
These are only a few of the awesome stories of how Jesus has provided for these kids.

These feeding stations have been named "HEART OF GOD 1 & 2".
THANKS TO OUR 4 MEN MISSIONARIES FROM TX, NC, & SOUTH AFRICA, in the last 3 weeks they have weighed, transported, & stored over 200 tons of corn & 21 tons of beans in our giant warehouse in Balama.
This is a MINISTRY RECORD as this same amount took us 6 weeks last year. All this had to be picked up & trucked in from remote villages. Our warehouse will max out at 250 tons, so we were blessed to receive a gift last week to help us build another warehouse! We are busier than bees in a new hive!
The villagers in Meluco (site of Op. Rescue) managed to sell us 12 tons of corn that they protected from the elephants.
THE CRITICAL NEED THIS YEAR IS FOR BEANS! NO BEANS = No PROTEIN for the kids.
Due to heavy rains in March, much of the bean crop rotted in the fields, causing a statewide shortage.
PLEASE BE IN AGREEMENT WITH US THAT THE ADDITIONAL 54 TONS OF BEANS WE NEED WILL BE FOUND!
Our 2 women visitors are busy teaching English & computer to our teenage boys, working at the pre-school, & doing small service projects.
SICK WIDOW FINDS JESUS WHILE BATHING HER KIDS
Our program helps widows in desperate situations according to James 1:27.
This week we admitted a widow & her 2 small sons to our feeding program because they were destitute. A long term illness of the mother & the death of the husband just a few weeks ago left them with no food. Both boys were filthy & covered in infected sores caused by mites that burrow under the skin (scabies).
I took them home after they received their food, & gave the mother soap to bathe the boys so I could treat their sores.
She took them to our water well, & as she bathed them her newly purchased witch doctor "healing string" fell off her arm when it touched the water!
This really shook her up! We witnessed to her about Jesus being the "Living Water" (name of our church) & she stated she needed NO PERSUADING that Jesus was stronger than Satan, as she'd just seen the Lord's power!
She immediately prayed to receive Jesus & attended our church this Sunday.
Our visitors were deeply touched by a 3 day old baby brought to us for milk by her grandmother. She'd heard a baby crying & following the sound, found her own granddaughter abandoned in a cornfield by her mentally ill daughter.
The baby is safe & healthy & will remain in the care of her grandmother.
